Non-Destructive Nuclear Roof Moisture Surveys and Laboratory Analysis

 

  • Conduct a non-destructive nuclear roof moisture survey scanning the intensity of hydrogen atoms, from the roof surface, to clearly identify areas of subsurface moisture.
  • Prepare and submit roof core samples for testing and laboratory analysis to identify material content and density.
  • Interpret the survey and laboratory results and forward to the owner, the architect, or the contractor.

 

Storm Damage Roof Assessments

 

  • Inspect existing roofs for damage resulting from wind, hail, impact, lightening, and other storm related damages.
  • Provide recommendations for repair, including quantity estimates of damaged areas and "to scale" roof plan drawings.

 

Training Seminars and Maintenance Programs

 

  • Conduct roof training seminars to introduce the owner, the architect, or maintenance personnel to roofing systems, job set-up, materials handling, construction equipment, and application procedures.
  • Assist the owner, the architect, contractor, or maintenance personnel with a roof maintenance/management plan to include preventative maintenance programs, roof repair procedures, warranty claims, and inspection procedures to locate problem areas.

 

Project Management and Quality Control

 

  • Roof Design Works, Inc. offers quality assurance observations to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and details, whether provided by your architect, or contracted by Roof Design Works, Inc. to licensed design professionals with whom we are familiar and have successfully worked in the past.
  • Product evaluation, comparative cost estimates, recommendations of materials, and appliance procedures.
  • Pre-construction planning including life-cycle costing, building code interpretations, and cost vs. benefit analysis of roofing options.
  • Construction administration to include bidding and negotiations, pre-qualification of contractors, pre-bid meetings, bidding analysis, and contract award recommendations.
  • Project management to include pre-job conferences, project scheduling, quality control monitoring, construction progress reports, and final inspections.

 

Roof Inspections and Warranty Evaluations

 

  • Inspect and investigate existing roof conditions to determine the cause of roof failure problems and develop appropriate solutions and recommendations.
  • Evaluate existing warranties and guarantees to determine the responsible party for the repair and/or replacement of and existing failed or under performing roof system.

 

Litigations and Depositions

 

  • Prepare descriptive documentation and expert testimony to assist law firms in defense or plaintiff litigation, arbitration, insurance claims, depositions, and other support to the legal profession.
